| It was my honor to teach students of Michurinsk at Tambov Regional Autonomous Educational Establishment - Comprehensive Boarding School "Michurinsk Lyceum" on this day. I was a trusted, welcomed guest in morning classes with Olga N. teaching second period 7B form, 3rd period 8A form, the with Yaroslava S.'s classes fourth period 6B, fifth 10A, and sixth 9A. I enjoyed working with students and encouraging their English language with music videos, "bear in a pool" scenario, Everything about Apples, and Inventions/ Discoveries. The students are SO attentive, hard working, and curious. After the first few minutes of caution, they are open and friendly. I try to remember for many of the people we encounter - we are TRULY the first and possibly the ONLY Americans they might meet. It is an awesome responsibility. I am adding this piece to this blog post a month after the fact. The names of students will be near me when I think of the experience: Sonya Shashlova, Zhenya Samusenko, Yulia Eliseykina, Kirill Svotnev, Vasiliy Gorbachev, Nikita Chernykh, Ivan Razepov, Kirll Grevtsev, Anton Kuvshinov, Daniil Litvinov, and Liza Lisitsyna. Thank you students for appreciating me. |
