The great Russian winter asserted itself this afternoon and it was wonderful! It has snowed for the past five hours. I am attempting this short post from my phone, a first for me on Weebly. In our morning session at the U.S. Embassy, we received a "spot on" overview of political, economic, and cultural events in Russia. The staff spoke plainly and offered insightful anecdotes. A simple lunch place called "Moo Moo's" satisfied my modest appetite after eating a five star hotel breakfast. An hour to wander allowed souvenir shopping while we waited for our Kremlin Armory experience. I found a Russian McDonald's restaurant PACKED with people. The tour of precious artifacts in the Museum of the Kremlin would be simply summarized as ornate, gilded, and elaborate! Photographs were not allowed on the tour so I included the link above.
